The Rate You Really Pay, Fees Included.
About the True APR Calculator
Use our True APR Calculator to see what a loan really costs per year once its fees are counted.
The interest rate on a loan agreement applies to the full loan amount, but origination fees, points and other prepaid charges come out of it — so you receive less than you repay.
The true annual percentage rate (APR) is the yearly rate at which your monthly payments repay the amount you actually receive.
Enter the loan amount, interest rate, term and fees to see your APR, the effective annual rate and the finance charge, or enter a target APR to find the most a lender’s fees can be before the APR goes above it. If your lender quotes a different monthly payment, you can enter it instead. To see a loan’s total cost in money, with or without fees, use our Borrowing Cost Calculator; to compare a new offer with the loan you have, our Loan Refinance Calculator.
