Available Credit Calculator
What You Can Still Spend — Pending Charges Included.
About the Available Credit Calculator
Use our Available Credit Calculator to see how much you can still spend on a credit card, counting transactions that haven’t posted yet.
Your available credit is your credit limit minus what’s using it: the posted balance, plus pending charges and holds, minus payments or refunds you expect the issuer to recognize. A negative figure means you’re over your limit.
“Available credit now” also shows your credit utilization and, if you enter a planned purchase, what’s left after it. “At a target utilization” shows how much more you can put on the card before reaching a target such as 30%, or how much to pay to get back down to it.
Issuers can treat holds, payments and over-limit transactions differently, so the available credit shown in your card account is the figure that counts. To find the limit you need to stay at a target utilization, use our Credit Card Limit Calculator; cash taken from the same limit usually costs more, which our Cash Advance Interest Calculator shows.
