Prorate Bill Calculator
Work Out the Part of a Bill for the Days You Had the Service — and the Credit for the Days You Didn’t.
About the Prorate Bill Calculator
Use our Prorate Bill Calculator to work out the part of a bill that covers the days you actually had the service — when you move in or out, start a plan or cancel partway through a billing cycle — and what’s left as a credit or refund.
A prorated bill is the full bill times the days used, divided by the days in the billing period. For example, a $700 bill for a 30-day period with 10 days used comes to $233.33, leaving a $466.67 credit. In a 31-day month the same 10 days cost $225.81. Choose Dates to enter the billing period and your service dates instead: both the first and last day count, and only the days inside the billing period are charged.
You can also work backwards: choose Full-period bill to find the bill behind a prorated amount — $229.51 for 10 of 31 days means a full bill of $711.48.
Some providers use a fixed 30-day month or round to whole dollars, and may add minimum charges or cancellation fees, so check your agreement and treat the results as an estimate.
