Salary Increase Calculator

See What Your Raise Is Really Worth.

Use our Salary Increase Calculator to see what a raise is worth — your new pay, the raise as a percentage, or what you earned before it — per year, per month, every two weeks, per week, per day and per hour.

A percentage raise multiplies your pay by 1 plus the raise: a $52,000 salary with a 4% raise becomes $54,080, which is $2,080 more a year or $173.33 a month. Choose Raise % to turn an old and a new salary into a percentage — $48,000 to $50,400 is a 5% raise — or Original salary to work back from your new pay. A raise can also be a flat amount, and a negative number works out a pay cut — or use our Wage Decrease Calculator to see what a cut costs and the hours or raise it takes to make it up.

Add an inflation rate to see whether the raise grows your buying power. With a 3% raise and 4% inflation, the raise after inflation is −0.96%: a $60,000 salary would need to reach $62,400 just to keep up. The projection repeats the raise each year — and, with inflation, shows each year’s salary in today’s money.

All figures are gross, before taxes and deductions, and daily and hourly pay depend on the work schedule you set; treat the results as an estimate. To see how a raise fits your spending, use our Monthly Budget Calculator; to see how much of it you could put away, our Savings Rate Calculator. To find the raise you’d need to catch up with several years of inflation, use our Cost of Living Raise Calculator.
